Oral Conscious Sedation
If you deal with strong dental fears, oral conscious sedation may suit you. It works by taking a pill an hour before your dental visit (or at another instructed time.) The effects will start to “kick in” by the time you reach our office. Namely, you’ll have an intensely calm and relaxed mood during treatment. You may then feel it working once the procedure ends. Given that fact, it’s advised to have someone drive you to and from your visit.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Nitrous oxide – also known as laughing gas – is the most common sedative used by dentists. Typically, it’s applied through a nose mask worn by the patient.
