Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Clay has long been drawn to dentistry, even from a young age. As she explored career paths further, she realized
how uniquely dentistry combines her interests in both the arts and sciences. That balance, along with the ability to
work closely with people and make a lasting impact on their well-being, confirmed that dentistry was the right path
for her.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Clay earned her undergraduate degree from Hendrix College before going on to receive her dental degree from the
University of Tennessee. She then completed a residency at Brookdale University Hospital in New York, where she
gained valuable hands-on experience in a wide range of dental treatments.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Clay has practiced in multiple states and has continued to expand her skillset
through advanced training. She has certifications in sedation as well as Botox and dermal fillers, and she regularly
completes extensive continuing education to stay current with the latest techniques and technology. Her broad
experience allows her to provide comprehensive care while also helping guide patients to the right specialists when
needed.
Dr. Clay is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association, and she has completed
advanced training through the Pankey Institute.
Outside of the Dental Office,
What Do You Like to Do?
Outside of work, Dr. Clay enjoys spending time with her husband, Chad. She loves taking walks with their two dogs
and caring for her ever-growing collection of houseplants, as well as tending to outdoor landscaping and
gardening. She has recently taken an interest in growing peppers and tomatoes, adding even more to her time spent
outdoors.
Earlier in life, Dr. Clay was deeply involved in ballet, training extensively and performing throughout her
youth. That dedication to discipline and artistry continues to influence her work today, both in and out of the
dental office.
