Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Growing up in Athens and graduating from Cedar Shoals High School, Dr. Blankenship developed a strong connection to
his community early on. His interest in dentistry grew from a desire to combine hands-on work with meaningful
patient care. Dentistry offered him the opportunity to build long-term relationships while helping patients improve
both their oral health and overall quality of life.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Blankenship earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia before completing his Doctor of
Dental Medicine degree at the Medical College of Georgia. He is deeply committed to continuing education and
regularly trains in the latest dental techniques and technologies to ensure his patients receive modern, effective
care. His advanced training includes soft tissue laser surgery, CEREC® computer-designed porcelain restorations, and
Lumineer® smile makeovers.
Dr. Blankenship is an active member of organized dentistry, including the American Dental Association, the Georgia
