Dr. Zack is passionate about building meaningful relationships with his patients and helping guide them through every
stage of their dental journey. He enjoys taking the time to explain what is happening with each patient’s oral
health so they can better understand their needs and feel confident in their care. By creating personalized treatment
plans based on each person’s individual goals, Dr. Zack strives to make dentistry approachable, educational, and
rewarding. As a dentist in Athens, he looks forward to getting to know his patients and helping them achieve
healthier, more confident smiles.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Zack’s interest in dentistry began after a traumatic baseball accident in high school. Having been a
nervous dental patient as a child, the experience gave him a new appreciation for dentistry when his dental team was
able to restore his smile. Seeing firsthand the difference compassionate, skilled dental care could make ultimately
inspired him to pursue a career where he could provide that same experience for others.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Zack attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate studies before completing a post-baccalaureate
certificate at the University of Pennsylvania. He then earned his dental degree from the University of Tennessee
College of Dentistry.
Before beginning dental school, Dr. Zack spent a year working as a dental assistant, giving him valuable hands-on
experience in patient care. He continues to expand his clinical knowledge through continuing education, with
additional training focused on CAD/CAM dentistry, implant restorations, and clear aligner treatment. He is also
Invisalign certified.
Dr. Zack is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Zack grew up in a family dedicated to healthcare and serving their local
community. He is the youngest of five children, with two older sisters and two older brothers. He and his wife
first became best friends while attending the University of Georgia and married 12 years later. Today, they share
their home with their dachshund, Sully.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Zack enjoys spending time with his wife and Sully, playing golf, exploring new cities,
and cheering on his favorite Baltimore and UGA sports teams. A lifelong sports fan, he also had the opportunity to
fulfill one of his childhood dreams by attending a Super Bowl.
